VASCO DOS GRÁFICOS - FIM DE PAPO

 Desde 12 de junho de 1932, quando se enfrentaram, pela primeira vez, e ficaram nos 3 x 3 – estádio da Rua Cândido Silva –, pelo Campeonato Carioca, Vasco da Gama e Olaria já se cruzaram em 110 oportunidades – a última em 20 de abril de 2014, em São Januário, com 2 x 0 para os anfitriões.
 Os encontros valeram, ainda, por mais seis competições e amistosos, totalizando 82 triunfos vascaínos e apenas oito do rival. Há mais 20 empates, um dos quais o desse gráfico desenhado por Williams Guimarães, para o Nº 977, de 23 de dezembro de 1956, da revista carioca “Esporte Ilustrado”.
Encerrava-se o Campeonato Carioca, com a “Turma da Colina” carregando o caneco, antecipadamente, e nem precisando correr muito, pois entrara em campo campeão – totalizou 58 pontos,  contra 53 do segundo colocado, o Fluminense..
O prélio rolou na casa do adversário, à Rua Bariri, e o tento cruzmaltino foi marcado por Lierte, no segundo tempo. Martim Francisco era o treinador e a rapaziada daquele fim de festa chamava-se: Hélio, Ortunho e Bellini; Laerte, Orlando e Coronel; Valmir, Livinho, Vavá, Válter Marciano e Lierte.
 Como se observa, havia Laerte e Lierte na equipe que disputou 22 compromissos, vencendo 16, empatando quatro empates,  marcando 58 gols e obtendo um saldo de 42.
